ALEMAY FERNANDEZ (Rosemary Joseph)

Infamous for her sultry vocals and gutsy personality, home-grown talent Alemay Fernandez has been performing since the age of four. She started on stage as Louisa Von Trapp in STARS production of The Sound of Music (’89) and is best remembered for her role in Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Ah Kong’s Birthday Party (’98/’99). Though singing is her main focus, she makes sure to keep in touch with her theatre roots.

She played Ma Crow in SRT’s Snow Queen: The Musical (’05) which was nominated for Best Ensemble Cast at the DBS Life! Theatre Awards (’06) and performed in Dick Lee’s SingaPOPera! (’07). She also directs Secondary Schools and Junior Colleges for the Singapore Youth Festival Drama Competitions.

With two successful solo concerts and an album under her belt, Alemay is kept busy performing in the live music scene, doing voiceovers and teaching vocal technique.
