DAREN TAN (Ah Hock)

A graduate from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, 24 year old Daren Tan outshined 6000 hopefuls to emerge the overall champion of Project SuperStar II, Channel U’s mammoth singing contest where the winner was voted by the audience.

Though he was booted out in the earlier stages of the competition, Daren did not disappoint his supporters as he continued to challenge himself and bounced back into action in the revival round. Once back into competition, Daren’s vocals, slick dance and body movements consistently scored him high points and strong votes from the judges and viewers.

With his win, Daren inked a management contract with MediaCorp and a recording contract with Warner Music. His debut solo album is scheduled for release in Oct ‘07. Effectively bilingual, this devilishly delicious and cool-rock lad was also recently appointed the ambassador of Sony Walkman.
