AH HOCK & PENG YU (Choreographers)

Hong-Kong trained choreographers and dancers, Aaron Khek Ah Hock and Ix Wong Thien Pau are founders of AH HOCK and PENG YU (AHPY), a Singapore-based contemporary arts collective. Full scholars from the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, the pair has been creating cutting-edge contemporary dance works both internationally and locally since 2000.

They were awarded the NAC Young Artist Award in 2005, for their artistry in choreography and their contribution to nurture dance culture in Singapore.

Aaron and Ix currently lecture part-time at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and LaSalle College of the Arts. Aaron also spearheaded an 80-hour Dance Elective program with ITE and the pair have been sharing their dance with the Breast Cancer Foundation since 2002.
